High-level international events (SPECA Days) will be held in Ashgabat on November 18-21, within the framework of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the UN Special Programme for the economies of Central Asia (SPECA), the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Among them: the forum on trade policy of the countries participating in the SPECA Program, initiated by our country, meetings of the working groups of the SPECA program on sustainable transport and trade, as well As the economic forum "SPECA-2019", following which it is planned to adopt the document "Ashgabat initiative". On November 21, the 14th meeting of the SPECA program Steering Board will be held.
In order to implement the documents to be adopted at the above-mentioned events, relevant joint work is being carried out with UNECE and ESCAP.
The development of cooperation with authoritative international organizations, where an important role is given to joint programs and projects is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy.
Among them should be highlighted the SPECA Program, which for 21 years has been successfully implemented jointly with the countries of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, as well as with the UN economic Commission for Europe (ECE), the UN Economic and social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
