Turkmen schoolchildren became the winners of the VI Iranian international Internet Olympiad in geometry IGO-2019, which brought together young mathematicians from 55 countries, the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan" reports.
More than six thousand fans of the "Queen of Sciences" gradually competed in three categories-primary, secondary and higher, provided respectively for students of the eighth, ninth-tenth and eleventh-twelfth grades. In each of them, they solved five tasks of increased complexity, which were given strictly 4.5 hours.
In this remote intellectual competition, which started in mid-September and finished just a few days ago, our country was adequately represented by pupils of The state boarding school for gifted children, high school students of Ashgabat specialized schools No. 86 and No. 87 and secondary specialized school No. 26 of Dashoguz. A group of children consisting of 24 people performed in the initial category. At this stage, eighth graders Gulzada Atajanova and Merdan Akydzhanov distinguished themselves, who were awarded special awards.
In competitions of average category 23 pupils from which owners of bronze medals became Dovletgeldy Isayev and Didar Gayypov participated. Several other children – Humay Amanova, Bayram Abdullayev, Emir Vellekov, Mukhammetmurat Gochmuradov, Akgurban Dzhumayev, Akhmet Yazlyev, Jennet Zamanova, Ghadam Dzhumayev and Arslan Annaniyazov-were awarded incentive awards.
Good results were shown by the guys who performed in the third category-Allayar Khudaykulyev, Eziz Saparov, Ogulay Kakabaeva and Nadira Shamuradova-taking high positions in the rating table of participants.
The head of the national team of our country – teacher of mathematics Public boarding school for gifted children Arslan Hodjiev, evaluating the performance of the Turkmen team in General, stressed that all the guys showed not only good knowledge of the specialized discipline of geometry, but also mastery of computer technology, with the support of which actually conduct substantive competition in the online format. Innovative interactive learning tools, widely used in the educational sphere in the context of the successful implementation of the concept of development of the digital educational system proclaimed in our country in Turkmenistan, are increasingly being introduced into the educational process, turning it into an exciting journey for new knowledge.
These days, in educational institutions that have delegated their students to this remote intellectual competition, solemn ceremonies are held, at which the owners of high awards from the organizers of the "6th Iranian Geometry Olympiad – IGO 2019" receive well-deserved congratulations.
