President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Government meeting held today, considered the preliminary projects for the construction of a road bridge across the Amu Darya, the state information Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The construction of this facility will significantly improve passenger traffic, increase traffic speed, reduce costs, will contribute to the growth of cargo transportation for the national economy of the region, and improve the travel opportunities of its residents.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the construction of a road bridge in Lebap velayat in the context of the National program for the radical transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities and district centers.
According to the source, the President of Turkmenistan, focusing on the priorities of the program in the field of road construction, stressed the importance of ensuring the high quality of modernization of existing and construction of new roads, keeping them in perfect operational condition. All this makes it possible to optimize traffic flows and increase the capacity of the road network, taking into account the increasing number of vehicles, to increase the level of safety on the roads.
