The President of Turkmenistan will take part in the non-aligned Movement summit in Baku

On October 25, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, during which He will take part in the XVIII summit of the non-aligned Movement in Baku. This was reported at a meeting of the Government held today, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

According to the information, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the diverse partnership within the framework of authoritative international organizations. Among them is the non-aligned movement, which unites the countries of the world on the principles of non-participation in military and political blocs and consolidation of efforts to ensure universal security and well-being.

The participation of the head of state in the summit in Baku will be another manifestation of Turkmenistan's active position in solving urgent problems of our time, forming balanced approaches to determining effective partnership formats taking into account national interests and global development priorities.

As the leader of the nation noted, consistently implementing the policy of peace, good neighborliness and positive neutrality, our country makes a significant contribution to the development of constructive dialogue on a regional and global scale in the interests of universal well-being and progress.

This is eloquently evidenced by a number of creative initiatives of the Turkmen side, which have received recognition and support from the international community.

Speaking about the importance of the upcoming summit for the development of solutions to topical issues of the global agenda, the President stressed that in the international arena Turkmenistan strictly adheres to the basic principles of its neutral status, close to the postulates of the non-aligned Movement.
