The meeting agenda included the issue of the Treatment of the heads of CIS States to the peoples of Commonwealth and world community in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory of Soviet people in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. The President of Turkmenistan, speaking at the summit of CIS heads of state, stressed that this date is sacred for all of us, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
"In our States, much is being done to preserve and strengthen the historical memory of the soldiers and officers who won the Great Victory, of those people who made an invaluable contribution to its achievement with their military work in the rear," the head of state noted.
Speaking about this, the President of Turkmenistan proposed on May 9, 2020, in all CIS countries to hold solemn ceremonies of laying flowers at the Victory memorials and organize festive fireworks dedicated to the anniversary date.
"Turkmenistan is also ready to provide full support and assistance in the implementation of the main activities for the preparation and celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War," the head of Turkmenistan stressed.
