Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on the state of Turkmen-Russian relations in an interview with journalists following the meeting of the Council of foreign Ministers of the CIS countries held in Ashgabat.
– Our relations are in very good condition. They are constantly progressing, our presidents meet regularly, we hold regular contacts at the level of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, " Lavrov said. – We agree on a number of issues, which then become important topics on the UN agenda. We cooperate on the Caspian issues. We actively support the initiatives of Turkmenistan concerning the introduction of the principles of international cooperation in the energy sector. Today's visit confirmed that our relations are on the rise. And we have every reason to believe that the agreement of the heads of state in all areas will be implemented – - said the Russian foreign Minister.
