"I sincerely wish that the current fraternal and friendly relations based on a common language, religion, culture, history, and values will be further strengthened in all directions," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a message to his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov published today in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The letter was sent on the occasion of the national holiday of Turkmenistan-Independence Day (September 27).
"Since gaining sovereignty, Turkmenistan, putting forward important initiatives, ensures the well - being and prosperity of its citizens, supports regional stability," the message says.
According to Trend, Turkey is one of the largest trading partners of Turkmenistan: about 600 Turkish companies operating in trade, investment, construction, energy, transport, communications, textile, and processing industries are registered.
