Today, in the conference hall of the State migration service of Turkmenistan held a solemn ceremony of handing passports to persons accepted into the citizenship of Turkmenistan. Their owners were 863 people who by the will of fate lived on the territory of our country without citizenship and only recently gained it thanks to the Decree signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Among those who were lucky enough to regain citizenship, was and Liliya Baltayeva from Lebap Region. By the will of fate, she went to Russian Federation, lost ties with her native Turkmenistan, but then, returning to her Homeland, she applied for the restoration of citizenship of Turkmenistan. And today, having received a passport, she became a full citizen of Turkmenistan.
– For me it's important and significant day, said in an interview with Turkmenportal after the ceremony of handing passports to new citizens of Turkmenistan L. Baltayeva. A person without a Homeland – is nobody. And today I found her again.
It has already happened that I, a native of Turkmenabat city, by the will of fate had to leave the country. But the homeland called, and I returned, after all here my ancestors. I am very happy that I received a passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan. For me, this event is like a second birth.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his great care for people, and to congratulate the Leader of the nation and our people on the 28th anniversary of the great Independence. The solemn presentation of passports to new citizens of Turkmenistan on the eve of this glorious date fills me with even greater joy. I am very proud to have become a citizen of Turkmenistan. I will work hard for the good of the Homeland.
