President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a Government meeting held in Ashgabat ordered to intensify work on exploration, industrial development and development of promising fields of the Turkmen shelf and the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea. This region has a huge energy potential, which opens up opportunities for fruitful cooperation with the business community of the world.
The President of Turkmenistan gave a number of instructions to his adviser on oil and gas issues Yagshigeldy Kakayev on further improvement of the investment policy aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial partnership with leading foreign companies with advanced experience and innovative technologies capable of ensuring effective development of oil and gas fields. It was stressed that the projects implemented in the energy sector must meet all the requirements of environmental safety, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
