The delegation of Turkmenistan at the regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council made an official statement on the results of the first Caspian Economic Forum held on August 11-12, 2019 in Turkmenbashi, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

According to the information, the statement noted that the forum was attended By President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, heads of governments of the Caspian countries, Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria. The forum and its events were also attended by heads and representatives of reputable international organizations and major financial and banking institutions, including the UN, OSCE, CIS, SCO, EBRD, ADB and others.

According to the source, the participants stressed the importance of the Caspian Economic Forum, which has become a platform for cooperation between the countries of the Caspian region and reaching a qualitatively new level, as well as an instrument of economic growth in the region and beyond.
