The Turkmen delegation held a meeting in Geneva with representatives of international organizations and structures specializing in the development of international trade and economic cooperation between the countries. The meetings were organized as part of the continuation of the work to enhance cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.
According to the information, the delegation of Turkmenistan held talks with representatives of the WTO, the UN Conference on trade and development (UNCTAD), the International trade Centre (UNCTAD-WTO Agency for technical cooperation) and the UN Economic Commission for Europe.
According to the source, the composition of the Government Commission to study issues related to Turkmenistan's membership in the World Trade Organization was approved by the resolution of the President of Turkmenistan dated July 15, 2019.
