The Italian Ambassador in Ashgabat Diego Ungaro met with the rector of the State Academy of arts of Turkmenistan Ahatmyrat Nuwwayew, the official website of the Italian Embassy.
The Italian Ambassador expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between the two countries, which is developing well.
Recall, in 2018, Ashgabat hosted an exhibition of reproductions of paintings by the famous Italian artist Caravaggio (late 16th-early 17th centuries), as well as Days of Italian design - IDD with the participation of architect Luca Molinari and Director of the European Institute of design in Florence Igor Tanci.
As reported by Turkmenportal Vice-rector for academic part of the Academy of arts of Rustam Annamuhammedov, the meeting with the rector of the State Academy of fine arts of Turkmenistan Ambassador Diego Ungaro proposed to be held in February – March 2020 in Ashgabat short master classes of Italian specialists to train our students to design and architecture.
Italy established diplomatic relations with Turkmenistan on 9 June 1992 by signing the relevant Protocol in Moscow.
