At the “Yildiz” hotel in Ashgabat, a Korean week was held, with the participation of representatives of the Korean embassy in Turkmenistan and other participants. The scientific seminar conducted to introduce Turkmen Korean relations. The event was initiated by the Korean embassy in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

After the seminar, the correspondent of Turkmenportal got an exclusive interview with the Associate Professor Institute of Russian Studies at HUFS, Wooik Choi.

- Please tell us about yourself and your speech at the scientific conference on the Turkmen and Korean relations?

- I am the first in Turkmenistan. It is a very nice and clean city. We think relations with Korea and Turkmenistan are not very big, but I think our relations will still develop in positive directions. I think economic and environmental relations will develop further.

- As you told you in the first in Turkmenistan. How did you like Turkmenistan?

- Here the view is quite different to compare with other cities.  It's very clean and all white. People here are kind.

- What will you tell us about the academic relations between the two countries?

- The relationship between teacher and students should be developed. I think there are very few students from Turkmenistan in Korea, but I know that a lot of students want to study in Korea. I think there are chances, but both States should help them.

- What kind of relations do you think Turkmenistan and Korea should develop?

- I think Turkmenistan needs modern Technology, and Korea can help with this. We already know that Turkmenistan has very good natural resources.
