The foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by the first Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - the CIS Executive Secretary Viktor Guminsky, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit, the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
According to the information, the participants of the meeting noted the effectiveness of cooperation and the implementation of activities under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States this year. Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee highly appreciated the efforts of Turkmenistan aimed at maintaining stability, economic growth and integration in the region, a clear example of which is the holding of the first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenbashi in August this year.
According to the source, during the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the issues related to the preparation for the meeting of the Council of CIS heads of state, which will be held on October 11 this year.
Proposals regarding the upcoming meeting of the economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will be held on September 13 in Ashgabat, as well as organizational issues for the meeting of the Council of foreign Ministers of the CIS, scheduled for October 10, 2019, were also considered during the meeting, the information says.
