Franck Ribery signed a contract with “Fiorentina”

The former midfielder of the national team of France Franck Ribery has signed an agreement with the Italian Fiorentina, according to Eurosport.

Today, the 36-year-old player flew to Florence to sign an agreement with the violets. When leaving the plane, Ribery was met by Fiorentina employees and handed him a club scarf.

Ribery's career began in 1989 with the youth team of the club Conti Boulogne from his hometown. Seven years later, he joined the Academy "Lille" but left the club three years after he had difficulties with discipline.

In 1999, Ribery became a player at Boulogne, where he played for two years. After spending two more years in the Amateur divisions for Olympic Ales and Brest, in 2004, Ribery moved to the club of the championship of France"Metz". After six months of playing for the club in January 2005, Ribery moved to Turkey to become a Galatasaray player, in which he won the Turkish Cup. Six months later he left the club and returned to France – to Marseille. Ribery has been in the club for two seasons and helped him get to the finals of the French Cup.

In 2007, the player joined the German club Bayern for a record at that time for the club in the amount of 25 million euros. In its composition eight times Ribery has won the German Championships, five German Cup once and the Champions League and club world Cup, making four double gold and one gold hat-trick. Thanks to his game for Bayern in the 2012/2013 season, he finished third in the FIFA Gold ball award, losing only to Cristiano Ronald and Lionel Messi.

In the period from 2006 to 2014 Ribery made 81 appearances for the national team of France of football. It has participated in two world cups (2006, 2010) and two European Cups (2008, 2012). Ribery three times recognized football player of the year in France and once in Germany. In addition, he was a member of the UEFA team of the year and became the best young player of the year in France. In 2013, Ribery received the prize for the best football player in Europe. In the same year, he also ranked fourth in the list of the world's best players according to The Guardian.
