The foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan held a meeting with a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee – Deputy Executive Secretary of the CIS S. Ivanov, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit, the official website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry reports.
According to the information, issues on preparation for the upcoming events, in particular for the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will be held on October 11, 2019 in Ashgabat, were discussed.
According to the source, the parties noted the systematic implementation of activities under the Chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States this year, which has a positive impact on economic and social development throughout the region.
Opportunities for the development of cooperation between the participating States in the political, economic, environmental, cultural and humanitarian fields were considered, the information says.
