A meeting with a delegation of the Malaysian company Petronas took place in Avaza

On July 30-31, 2019, a delegation of the Malaysian company Petronas paid a working visit to Turkmenistan. The delegation led by President and Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Van Zulkifli Van Ariffin held a series of meetings with the leaders of the relevant ministries of our country, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

According to information, during a working visit, on July 31, a delegation of a Malaysian company in the Deniz hotel in the Avaza National tourist zone met with the Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues Yagshygeldi Kakaev and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.   

During the meeting, the parties noted the fruitful nature of mutually beneficial cooperation in the fuel and energy sector and discussed issues of further expanding the constructive business partnership.

Petronas is a Malaysian national oil and gas company. In Turkmenistan, she works through the company Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd. Petronas is the first foreign company to launch the development of the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea. Currently, the company is interested in partnership with the Turkmen side in the field of petrochemistry and other promising areas, which is implemented on the principles of trust and mutual benefit.

Highly appreciating the open investment policy conducted under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, the representatives of the Malaysian delegation expressed deep interest in intensifying ties and declared their readiness to take an active part in the implementation of large-scale projects.
