Training seminar on digital economy held in Ashgabat

Today, a workshop for representatives of government agencies and the business community of Turkmenistan, which was held for five days, was held in Ashgabat. It was organized by “Imdat Elektronika”, Telekom Telekomunikasion (Turkey).

The event, initiated by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, addressed the implementation of the Digital Economy Concept for Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, strategies for transition to it and the best world practices in this direction.

The seminar was conducted by an international expert in the field of e-government, e-government, and cybersecurity, Dr. Mustafa Afyonluoglu. In detail and with examples from the experience of Turkey and other countries, the expert revealed all the stages of the transition to a digital economy, possible problems along the way and how to avoid them, gave recommendations on the development of a strategy and action plan for the near future.

As noted, in addition to the technical side of this issue, it is important to pay special attention to improving the educational level of people in terms of cybersecurity. The seminar also touched upon a wide range of issues related to blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, cryptocurrencies.

As Dr. Mustafa Afyonluoglu emphasized, the digitalization of our world is no longer the future, but the present. New technologies are becoming an important part of the life of society, the state and each person and cause the growth of GDP in each country and the entire world economy.

Seminars on the digital economy are held in Turkmenistan on a regular basis, encompassing an increasing circle of participants.
