On the court of the multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium the grand opening of the team competition in Central Asia among children under 12 years old took place. Popular Turkmen dance groups performed a musical performance before the start of the main celebration.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Education, Health, Sports, Youth Policy and Public Organizations Purli Agamyradov, Head of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan Azat Muradov, and a representative of the International Tennis Federation. As the guest of honor, the international tournament was visited by the Secretary General of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan Iroda Tulyaganova.
The tournament is held with the assistance of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). More than 35 tennis players from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan take part in the competition. The main referee of the competition is Saman Hassani Nafez from Iran. The final matches of the tournament will be held on June 6th.
