Turkmenistan national under-19 football team will take part in the qualification in Qatar for 2020 AFC U-19 Championship

Today at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the capital of Malaysia, the draw for the 2020 AFC U-19 Championship qualification was held. According to its results, the youth U-19 national team of Turkmenistan was in group “B”, where its teams will be Qatar, Yemen and Sri Lanka. Matches will be held from 2 to 10 November in Doha.

In total, 46 teams will compete in the qualifying tournament of the Asia-2020 Youth Championship (25 in the West and 21 in the East), divided into 10 groups.

West Zone

Group A: Iraq (host), Oman, Palestine, Kuwait, Pakistan.

Group "B": Qatar (host), Yemen, TURKMENISTAN, Sri Lanka.

Group "C": Tajikistan (host), Syria, Lebanon, Maldives.

Group “D”: United Arab Emirates, Iran (host), Kyrgyzstan, Nepal.

Group E: Jordan, Bahrain (host), Bangladesh, Bhutan.

Group F: Saudi Arabia (host), Uzbekistan, India, Afghanistan.

Zone East

Group G: Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia (host), Brunei, Northern Mariana Islands.

Group "H": Australia, Taiwan (host), Macao, Laos.

Group "I": Republic of Korea, China, Myanmar (host), Singapore.

Group “J”: Japan, Vietnam (Host), Mongolia, Guam.

Group K: Indonesia (host), North Korea, Hong Kong, East Timor.

According to the results of the qualifying round, the final stage of the Asian Youth Championship (U-19), the venue of which will be determined later, will be won through by the winners of 11 groups and 4 national teams from among the teams that finished second. Qualifying matches in groups will be held from 2 to 10 November 2019.

As Turkmenportal was told at the FFТ, Turkmen football players are preparing for the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship (U-19) under the guidance of Aziz Kambarov, the head coach of the youth national team.
