The sports organizations of Afghanistan came up with the idea of organizing a multi-kilometer marathon under the motto "Unity and well-being." 10 Afghan athletes decided to take part in it, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported today.
On April 20, they had already crossed the border point between the Afghan point of Turgundi and the Turkmen city of Serkhetabat. A significant part of the cyclists' route runs through the territory of Turkmenistan. After Serkhetabat, they will cross the cities of Mary, Tejen, Ashgabad, Serdar, Balkanabat, Turkmenbashi and go to the capital of Azerbaijan, the city of Baku, through the Caspian sea port and further, through Georgia, will enter Turkey.
