A meeting was held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary V.A. Guminsky, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit, the official website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
At the beginning of the negotiations, V.A. Guminsky noted that the Executive Committee of the CIS highly appreciates the responsible approach of Turkmenistan to holding events within the framework of the country's presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States this year.
The chairmanship of Turkmenistan makes a great contribution to the development and strengthening of cooperation between the participating States based on the principles of equality, good neighborliness and mutual respect, it was noted in the information.
The issues of preparation for the upcoming events, in particular, the Meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council, which will be held in May this year, were separately discussed.
