The program of cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2019-2021 was signed today by Turkmenistan and France on the basis of political consultations held in Ashgabat, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports. The delegation of the friendly country was headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to the intensification of political interaction, regional themes, including Afghanistan, were discussed. The sides noted the high level of intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and France, and positive cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the UN, the EU and the OSCE.
As a result of political consultations, the parties also signed an “Intergovernmental Agreement on the granting of family work permit to family members of employees of diplomatic missions or consular offices.”
