The Hermitage archaeological expedition plans to conduct researches in Turkmenistan

One of the largest museums in the world, the Hermitage (St. Petersburg) together with the Institute of History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Science plans to send specialists to Turkmenistan for research in 2019-2020. This was reported by TASS Deputy General Director of the Museum Svetlana Adaksina, reports the CentralAsia.news.

"There was a proposal from IHMC to create a joint expedition to Turkmenistan. In the Republic in recent years we have not worked, and now, apparently, will resume the works. In 2019, maybe, or next year" - said Adaksina. Turkmen-Russian Margian archaeological expedition works in Turkmenistan. It operates within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology named after N.N. Miklukho-Maclay of the Russian Academy of Science.
