Turkmenistan boxing team to take part in Asian Championship

Under the leadership of the Ukrainian specialist Volodymyr Dvortsov the national team of Turkmenistan will take part in the Asian Boxing Championship among adults in Bangkok (Thailand), which will be held from 16 to 27 April 2019. The upcoming Asian Championship does not give a permit to the World Championship. According to the new regulations of the International Boxing Federation, other licensed tournaments will be organized for the World Championship and the Olympic Games. In addition, last year AIBA approved new weight categories for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. 

According to the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, our team will be represented by 8 athletes and 4 coaches, the list of which is presented below.

Coaching staff: Volodymyr Dvortsov, Yazmuhammed Pazzyev, Aliasker Bashimov, Dovran Mailibaev.

  2. Hursant Imankuliev - category up to 60 kg
  3. Togrulbek Pazzyev - category up to 64 kg
  4. Shohrat Durdyev - category up to 69 kg
  5. Nursahet Pazzyev - category up to 75 kg
  6. Nuryagdy Nuryagdyev - category up to 81 kg
  7. Shatlyk Saryyev - category up to 91 kg
  8. Baky Toychiev - category +91 kg
